Beijing, May 30 (SUNA) – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hussein Awad Ali, met on Thursday, May 30, 2024, with the Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Salih Al-Khulaifi, on the sidelines of the tenth session of the ministerial meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Sudan and the State of Qatar in all fields, where the Acting Foreign Minister appreciated the honorable and clear roles of the State of Qatar in supporting the people of Sudan, stressing the highly appreciation of Sudan, the government and people, for all aspects of the support provided by the State of Qatar to Sudan, particularly its efforts and contributions in addressing the Darfur crisis and its role in providing humanitarian support during the current stage that Sudan is going through.

The meeting touched on developments of the situation in Sudan, where the two sides exchanged views on strengthening the political efforts and initiatives proposed to address the crisis in Sudan. The two sides stressed the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, the desire to enhance cooperation in various fields, and their readiness to work jointly to achieve development in Sudan and support reconstruction efforts after the end of the war
