The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, met today with the United Nations interim Resident Coordinator for Development and Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan, Abdo Ami Deng.

The Acting Foreign Minister welcomed the UN interim Resident Coordinator, while Mr. Abdo expressed his pleasure over returning to Sudan, affirming his readiness to cooperate and support Sudan and its people during the short period in which he will start work in Khartoum until the arrival of the new Resident Representative.

Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide all logistical facilities to ensure the facilitation of the flow of funding to support the projects needed by Sudan, and hoped that Mr. Abdo would follow the example of his predecessor, Mrs. Khardiatta, from whom Sudan felt great cooperation and professionalism during her tenure in this position.
