Undersecretary of the Ministry of Animal Resources, Dr. Hassan Al-Tom Abdalla, stressed the importance of the Sudanese meat exhibition and conference, which will be held next October, as a global event to present an investment map for the meat sector, pointing out to internal and external participation of the private sector in the exhibition and the creation of broad partnerships to invest in the Sudanese meat sector.
This came when the Undersecretary addressed the first meeting held today at the ministry to arrange for the meat exhibition, under the slogan (Sudanese meat towards better quality and broader horizons). The meeting was attended by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, representatives from the private sector and the Free Markets Corporation.
The Undersecretary explained that the exhibition is considered an important event and a real addition to investment in the field of Sudanese meat, which is highly relied upon in the advancement of the national economy, calling for the integration of efforts, and coordination between the exhibition partners in presenting the investment map for Sudanese meat in order to contribute to achieving global food security, increases value-added chains and moving the national economy. The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Al-Raih Mohamed Al-Awad, reviewed the steps of organizing the exhibition, the technical details, the formation of the higher and the specialized committees and praised the great efforts made by the private sector in investing in the field of meat. He said that the exhibition is an important step in supporting the national economy stressing that the exhibition targets the internal and external markets for the increasing demand of the Sudanese meat, calling for the promotion and marketing of Sudanese meat through foreign embassies in order to attract Investments in the field of meat.
