{"id":1207,"date":"2019-04-15T09:35:47","date_gmt":"2019-04-15T09:35:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/?page_id=1207"},"modified":"2019-04-15T09:46:09","modified_gmt":"2019-04-15T09:46:09","slug":"press-release-the-ministry-of-foreign-affairs-expresses-its-thanks-and-appreciation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/press-release-the-ministry-of-foreign-affairs-expresses-its-thanks-and-appreciation\/","title":{"rendered":"PRESS RELEASE (The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its thanks and appreciation )"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Foreign Affairs\nexpresses its thanks and appreciation to all the brothers and friends of Sudan\nwho expressed their solidarity, support and concern towards Sudan as it takes\nits first steps for a peaceful transition of power and democratic\ntransformation that realize the hopes and aspirations of the Sudanese people\nand their rising forces.<br>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;The step taken by the Sudanese Armed Forces,\nsupported by the rest of the regular forces at the dawn of Thursday, April 11,\nwas a lining up with the revolution of the Sudanese people for reaching\nfreedom, justice and peace. The step came after explicit calls of the masses of\npeople on the Armed Forces to intervene to end the political stalemate and the\nsecurity and social crisis, which were experienced by the country during the\nlast period and threatened with decline of the country into an abyss of\nfighting and instability.<br>\n&nbsp; The\nTransitional Military Council has affirmed the full commitment to establish a\njust civil government and to hand over power to a civilian government formed by\nthe people within a maximum period of two years, indicating that the role of\nthe Transitional Military Council during this period would be limited to\nemphasizing the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, keeping\nsecurity and maintaining peace, &nbsp;promoting a spirit of equality and tolerance ,\nproviding appropriate political climate for all components of society to build\nand form political parties and civil society organizations that will lead to the\npeaceful transfer of power, as well as fostering dialogue among all the civil\nsociety spectrum.<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;The Transitional Military Council will\nrepresent the sovereignty of the state, besides formation of a civilian\ngovernment that will be agreed upon by all, and the Chairman of the\nTransitional Military Council has stressed the firm commitment to enhance and\npromote human rights in accordance with international conventions and\nagreements ratified by the Sudan.<br>\nThe Ministry, accordingly, reiterates Sudan&#8217;s\ncommitment to all the local, regional and international treaties, charters and\nagreements, and to maintain good neighborly relations and balanced\ninternational relations taking into account Sudan&#8217;s supreme interests and the\nnon-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.<br>\nThe ministry refers also to the renewing of the\ndeclaration of a comprehensive cease-fire throughout the country and the call\non all the gun holders to sit down and engage in dialogue to reach peace and\npeaceful coexistence based on new principles and standards.<br>\nIn light of that, the Foreign Ministry looks\nforward to the understanding and support of the international community for the\nsincere efforts of the Transitional Military Council and the Sudanese political\nand civil forces to achieve the wishes of the Sudanese people for a complete\ndemocratic transformation, building the state of institutions and achieving\nbalanced and just development.<br>\nThe Foreign Ministry expresses its thanks and\nappreciation to the brothers and friends who have extended help to Sudan in\nresponse to the current economic crisis,<br>\nand looks forward to effective economic\ncooperation from the international community that will allow Sudan to utilize\nits natural and economic resources and to be a pillar of food security\nregionally and internationally, and to contribute to the economic and social\ndevelopment in the African continent, and this also requires the implementation\nof the international commitment towards Sudan as a country emerging from\nconflict by exempting its debts and removing the obstacles that prevent it from\nreceiving aid and funding from international institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Khartoum, April 14<sup>th<\/sup>\n2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its thanks and appreciation to all the brothers and friends of Sudan who expressed their solidarity, support and concern towards Sudan as it takes its first steps for a peaceful transition of power and democratic transformation that realize the hopes and aspirations of the Sudanese people and their rising [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":1204,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-1207","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/1207","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=1207"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/1207\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1208,"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/1207\/revisions\/1208"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1204"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudanembassy.com.pk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1207"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
